Mijn moeder heeft me deze truc geleerd om moeiteloos dik stof van de ventilatorbladen te verwijderen. Zo werkt het:

4. Step 1: Prep the Room So You Don’t Create a Dust Storm
Before you begin cleaning, it’s important to prepare the room to avoid spreading dust. Start by turning off the ceiling fan and allowing the blades to come to a complete stop. This ensures your safety and makes it easier to clean the blades.
Next, lay an old sheet or drop cloth on the floor beneath the fan to catch any dust particles that might escape. Although the pillowcase does an excellent job of trapping dust, this extra precaution ensures that your floors remain clean.
5. Step 2: Position Yourself Safely To Reach Every Blade
Safety is paramount when cleaning ceiling fans. If your fan is positioned high up, use a sturdy step stool or ladder to reach the blades comfortably. Make sure the ladder is placed on a stable, flat surface to prevent any accidents.
Position yourself so that you can easily reach each blade without overstretching. This reduces the risk of losing your balance and ensures that you can clean each blade thoroughly without strain.
6. Step 3: The One-Swipe Method That Traps All the Dust
With the pillowcase in hand, climb the stool or ladder and slip the open end of the pillowcase over one of the blades. Gently press the fabric against the blade, ensuring full contact between the pillowcase and the dust-covered surface.
Slowly pull the pillowcase towards you, maintaining pressure so that all the dust is captured inside. The fabric’s texture helps to dislodge stubborn dust while the enclosed design prevents it from falling. Repeat this process for each blade, using the same pillowcase until all blades are clean.
